What is event production software?

Event production software keeps the work of putting on a show in one place: who is working, where and when they need to be, what the venue provides, what gear is going out, and what everyone is owed. In Soundcheck, each show is a gig record that the office, the crew and the people on site all work from.

What Soundcheck covers for a production company

  • Leads and clients. Track inbound leads through a pipeline you define, then turn the booked work into a gig.
  • Crew staffing. Add positions such as audio engineer, lighting tech, stage manager and stagehand. Invite people from your roster and track who accepted.
  • Venue and load-in details. Save venues once with load-in, load-out, dock, elevator, parking and access details. Override a field for one show without changing the venue's default.
  • Run of show. Build the show flow by section and cue, including multi-day events, and reuse templates. Export it as a PDF.
  • Gear. Assign your own inventory to a gig by item and quantity, then mark it returned after load-out (on plans that include inventory).
  • Exports for the crew. Download a gig summary, day sheet, advance packet, crew list or schedule.
  • Closeout and payouts. Mark the gig Completed, review closeout, pay crew, and settle the show.
  • Mobile for crew. iOS and Android apps for gig details, crew offers, availability checks, push notifications, and recently viewed gigs offline.

Who it's for

  • Production companies and AV crews running corporate events, concerts, festivals and private events
  • Entertainment agencies that also staff production for their shows
  • Tour managers and roster-based crews who run their gigs the same way

Who it's not for

  • Rental shops whose main need is warehouse, barcode scanning and rental pricing. Soundcheck tracks gear assigned to a gig, but it isn't a full rental inventory system.
  • Teams looking for a temp-staffing marketplace. Soundcheck works from your own roster.

How a show runs in Soundcheck

  1. Create the gig and link the venue.
  2. Add positions and invite crew; track responses in Mailbox.
  3. Assign gear and attach the stage plot and rider.
  4. Build the run of show and share call times.
  5. After load-out, record returns, complete the gig, and pay the crew.
